Returned home after a week in Branson. A highpoint of our vacation was the Duck Boat ride with Captain Boggy as guide and narrator. Mr. Boggs was quite the gentleman and entertainer. He was great with my two autistic teenagers. Thanks for a fun and educational experience.

My wife and I took the Duck boat ride today with Captain Smokey, he was very funny and knew a lot of Branson history, made the ride very enjoyable (driver also nice).

My wife and I took our infant daughter on the duck ride and really liked it!

They take you on a tour around town and go out in the water. It’s fun and gives you the chance to do a little sightseeing too.

We rode the Lake Taneycomo Duck with Capt. Smokey — it was wonderful! This fun ride even went to College of Ozarks and we saw that amazing campus. Then we splashed into the appreciated cooler waters of Lake Taneycomo. Loved hearing some cool history notes on Branson and everyone “aboard” enjoyed this great ride. Would recommend it for all ages, too!

We rode the Duck 2 days ago during our stay in Branson and loved it! It was very fun and educational. We went with our 3 kids, and had Captain Dan for our tour guide. He was an awesome guide, and great with all the kids on board. I would highly recommend doing this.

I absolutely loved, loved this exciting and educational experiment! I even got to drive “The Duck” in the water… Captain Woody was our captain and was wonderful!!! He was very informative and fun, fun, fun!!!

I would recommend everyone to go on “The Duck” even if that’s the only thing you done while in Branson! We also went on the Showboat and it was amazing… but “The Duck” was the most EXCITING!!!

Thanks Captain Woody for a GREAT TIME!

Capt. Jesse made our ride very fun & enjoyable!

We had two children under the age of 10 and he was great with them (along with the other children). The kids favorite part was when he plunged us into Table Rock Lake to the Lone Ranger theme song.

I enjoyed it all from the ride itself with songs/jokes/laughter to the military history info to the lake; it was all very fun!! We all had a fun time!!!

Thank you Capt. Jesse for making our first time very memorable!

Capt Jessie is the best!!! He is an asset to the Duck company. He was so much fun and so friendly with all. My grand kids loved him and the ride. We will ride again and ride with Capt. Jesse. I suggest giving him a raise! He loves his job.

Loved, Loved this ride with Captain Corndog. He was entertaining and funny. He Quacked us up! We all thought he deserved a raise.

Our grandchildren loved steering the boat and and singing along with the songs, and the adults loved the sites.

This was well worth the money and one of the things you should do when you go to Branson. Keep up the GOOD WORK Captain Corndog.

Excellent adventure. Capt. Tater was super. He was very entertaining. This was combined with the showboat. Both were the best. Highly recommend.

    :

We have rode the ducks many times over the years in Branson, as we visit at least 2 times a year. This was our first trip on the Taneycomo ride. We really enjoyed seeing the College of the Ozarks.

The best part of the ride was our Captain Who. He was great. We had a 13 year old with us and you know how that can be. Captain Who was just great with him, he even got him to drive the duck.

We will be back, and we will be requesting Captain Who. Captain Who is a real asset to Ride the Ducks.

It was such a great time and my kids loved it. Captain Korn was so fun and made it really fun… great guy.

    Loved it!

My husband and I just got back from a trip to Branson, and enjoyed everything we saw, but the most enjoyable attraction for us was riding the Duck. It had been several years since we’d been, and this time we were wowed by what we saw. Not only do you go into the lake, but before that, you ride to the top of Briar Mountain and see some very historical military vehicles.

The other reason for us enjoying it so much, was our driver. Captain Korn was not only a very pleasant tour guide, but knowledgeable on so much about Branson! I would recommend him to everyone who wants to ride the ducks. Thanks to Captain Korn, from your friends from OKC!

We rode the ducks 2 yrs ago at Taneycomo. It was okay fun. Decided to try the Table Rock ride with Capt. Science. We had an absolute blast! He was fun. He knew the area and had a lot of stories to tell. Everyone else on the ride was having a good time, too. We recommended this ride to everyone at the hotel, whether they had kids or not (ours are grown)!

For Bill and Mrs Bill, Capt. Science is #1 in our books!

We had seen the ducks at different times while on vacation, but never been on them. On August 11, 2011 we took the time to ride and it was a great experience. I suggest when in Branson that you ask for Captain Magic. He did a super job and was very knowledgeable about the area and where the ducks came from.He was a lot of fun, and enjoys what he is doing.

Thanks Captain Magic for making our vacation one to remember.

How often do the Ducks leave from the home base?

Support
1 year 3 months ago

Hi Betty,

It depends on time of year and kind of goes according to their schedule (which is also on this page), but roughly every 30-60 minutes. 🙂

Hi Larry,

Unfortunately, pets (other than service animals) are not allowed aboard the Ducks.

Do the Ducks still open if it’s thundering and lightning?

Support

Hi Taylor,

It’s on a case-by-case basis if there is very inclement or rough weather. 🙂
