They’re some of Branson’s best kept secrets… so where do the locals love to eat?
Of course, as locals we like to go out to eat… but we don’t always have the patience that the crowds brought on by high season tourism, so where do we go?
Nowhere on the 76 strip that’s for sure (most of the time).
I have kids so our family does frequent Chick-fil-a a fair amount (or one of these family-friendly restaurants that are good for the kids), but when we want something a little nicer these are some of our top picks.
7+ of the Best Branson Restaurants (That Locals Love)
1. Momo’s Sushi
I REALLY love their crab stuffed mushrooms, chicken fried rice, and the Samari roll is my absolute favorite.
The way they do their birthday dessert/candle is pretty unique as well. They have a spinning lotus flowers that burn like a sparkler that left quite an impression on my young daughter.
2. Vasken’s Deli
They have the best Greek gyros, deli wraps, gourmet sandwiches, soups, and salads. I honestly have a hard time choosing what to order but my top choice is probably the Rosa.
3. Little Hacienda
When I need some salsa in my life, this is where I go!
They have a nice atmosphere and really tasty Mexican cuisine, my favorite thing to order here is the Fajitas.
4. BillyGail’s
Despite being in a converted old gas station, this place has become more widely known and is sometimes too difficult to get in.
But, when the mood for breakfast strikes, this is the place that always delivers. They have pancakes that are literally so big they flop over the side of the plate!
5. Danna’s BBQ
This restaurant has been around for a while, and is frequented by plenty of tourists, but I still love it enough to go there from time to time.
I can really get behind their speedy turn around time and the quality of food that we can get. I love to order the bbq stuffed baked potato, but they are known for ribs and pulled pork.
6. Downing Street Pour House
While it is technically not in Branson, it’s close enough I will still claim it as a local favorite.
They are famous for their burgers, homemade French fries and “chips.” This is one that will stay in our night out rotation for a long time!
The restaurant sits on historic Downing Street in Hollister and is connected to the iconic Ye Olde English Inn.
7. Billy Bob’s Dairyland
Okay, I guess there is one place on the main strip that we do visit, but what can I say, they have some seriously good burgers and shakes!
