“…a marvelous set of productions in one venue …very different from the standard country and western that makes up much of the programs available in Branson.”

Home to Branson’s Most Talked-About Shows!
Over the years, the theatre currently known as the “King’s Castle Theatre” has been the performance venue for some of the biggest and most popular acts to ever appear in Branson!
Formerly the Bobby Vinton & Branson Variety Theatre
Originally built for singer and entertainer Bobby Vinton, the property hosted the famous crooner for more than a decade before Mr. Vinton retired from the Branson show scene.
Upon his departure, the building was transformed into the Branson Variety Theatre and would host some of the most popular and well-attended shows to ever play in the area including: “Spirit of the Dance,” “Broadway! A Star-Spangled Celebration,” the “Twelve Irish Tenors,” “Shake, Rattle, & Roll,” “Hooray for Hollywood,” and many other productions which featured some of the most talented singers and dancers to ever take the stage in town!
An Entertainment Venue Unlike Any Other!
In 2012, after the famous Leap-Day storm rolled through Branson – the building was completely re-built, remodeled, and renovated from the ground-up.
With the new updates, it made the transition from being the “Branson Variety Theatre” to the “King’s Castle Theatre” – named after the famous theatrical show producer who created the shows and the owner of the building, David King.
Something New to See Each Season!
Each year, a new line-up of shows are displayed on the marquee – ensuring that no matter when you visit (or if you have visited before), there is always something new to see on each visit!
Situated in the Center of Town
Sitting in the heart of the theatre and entertainment district, you will find that you can easily access the property either via the main Highway 76 “Strip” or by Wildwood Drive which connects to Gretna Road on the north side and Green Mountain Drive which intersects the south side.
C Phillips –
WE saw the New Jersey Nights twice and the Irish Tenor once. These shows were fabulous. We can hardly wait for the shows to start again in the spring to see them again.
Guinn Massey –
New Jersey Nights exceeded my expectation. This was one of the best shows I have seen in Branson. Over the years we have been to most of the popular shows and this was one of the best.
